¡ABANDONADO!

Solo, como un espectro por el mundo
iba, cuando me hallaste y me dijiste:
“Refúgiate en mis brazos, hombre triste.
Soy tuya, Soñador Meditabundo.”

Y fuiste mía: sin embargo hoy hundo
la frente en la almohada en que pusiste
tu cabecita núbil y en que oíste
la serenata de mi amor profundo.

Y ya no estás allí. La marejada
del mal, con golpe aleve y tremebundo
te arrojó al lupanar... ¡Desventurada!

Y hoy, mientras haces tu comercio inmundo,
yo prosigo como antes mi jornada,
solo, como un espectro por el mundo.
