MY OWN SPECIAL UNICORN

Oh, beautiful, long, sleek unicorn
Playing in the field
The child in me is dancing
Spinning around and around my unicorn.

I hear a lovely ancient tune
But then the music stops
And my spinning comes to a halt.

But my unicorn has magic in his heart
And a sparkling crystal horn
He taps me on the shoulder with it
And I begin to dance again.

I feel so young
And yet so old
I am in another world
Familiar, but distant.

I continue to sway and move around
Until I get very tired
The music ceases and I lay down on the grass to rest.

My unicorn gets down low to the ground next to me
He motions for me to get on his back.
No words are spoken; No words are necessary.

I climb onto his back and up we fly
Through the clouds; Above the storms
Into the colors of the rainbows
Until we reach the twinkling stars.
I hear the music again
And I begin to dance.
