I SEARCH FOR HEAVEN
I search for heaven
Without having to die
I look for God
And still wonder why.
It's all so heavy and
Oh, so deep
This life is mine
But not to keep.
I look for peace for
There hasn't been much
And then I remember
My husband's warm touch.
So my quest continues and there it is
I feel the music, poetry, and fine art
And then I recall that life can be sweet
For the God I seek is in my heart.
I feel the light
That is my soul
Brightness bursts out of me
For this is heaven that I behold.
